Recently, IGS K-6 Indigenous Scholars celebrated Indigenous Literacy Day, an annual celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ Stories, Cultures and Languages. The showcase is proudly produced and presented by the Indigenous Literacy Foundation in collaboration with the Sydney Opera House. The students were thrilled to meet the incredibly talented Jessica Mauboy who was part of this year’s showcase Be a Proud Voice for Country.
