“I know that just about everyone could be recognised by their teachers, because you have all worked so hard this term,” said Head of Primary School Colin Bird.
“Put up your hand if you worked hard.” A sea of hands rose in the Hall.
“If you recognise it yourself, that’s the most important thing. Just keep going with that effort.”
Congratulations also to the Kindergarten students of Chinese and Italian and the Year 4 students of Japanese who entertained the audience of fellow students, parents and carers with songs and dialogues in their second languages.
For some, it was their first time on stage.
“When you look up and realise there are 500 people looking out at you, it can feel strange,” said IGS Head of Primary School Colin Bird.
