IGS is once again entering a team into the Interschools skiing competition, with the Sydney Regional Championships being held in Thredbo from Monday 10 to Friday 14 July.
Students from Kindergarten to Year 12, with a love of skiing are encouraged to participate. As long as the skier can get down a ski run in a controlled manner, they can enter.
As students grow and gain more experience, the competition becomes more fierce, however there is a wide level of skill particularly in Kindergarten to Year 4.
2023 Regional Interschools Championships online entries open in May 2023. Entries are completed by the school coordinator in the Interschools Online Entry System. Families will need to plan ahead to organise accommodation, so please don’t delay.
In the past few years, Year 6 student Magnus Gerholt has represented IGS, making it to State the level moguls championship last year.
