On February 21st, IGS participated in the first round of the CIS Football Cup knockout. The Senior Girls played against St Mark’s Coptic Orthodox College at Moorebank Sports Club in Hammondville, winning 3-1 with goals from Ava and Louisa. They advance to the second round against Meriden School.
The Senior Boys, led by Captain Oliver, played against Illawarra Grammar at Gunyama Park in Zetland, drawing 1-1 with Kai scoring. They lost in extra time in a penalty shootout and will now compete in the CIS Football Plate against Broughton Anglican College.
