This week marked the beginning of our Culinary Fusion Experience at the iconic Sydney Fish Markets, and our first group of Year 7 students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in this enriching experience.
The program at the Sydney Fish Market Cooking School encompasses seafood preparation and discusses all aspects of seafood – freshness, sustainability, cost and sourcing including nutrition and food safety.
This comprehensive approach aims to equip students with essential skills and knowledge for their future endeavours. The objectives for the students through this experience are to develop:
- Culinary expertise and creativity
- Understanding of sustainable practices and local sourcing
- Business and economic acumen
- Entrepreneurial thinking and innovation
We look forward to all of our Year 7 and Year 9 students having the opportunity to embrace this opportunity in the following months.
