IGS Principal Shauna Colnan congratulated all students and added that it was “a tribute to the mighty Drama Department”.
“These results don’t happen without enormous dedication and skill on the part of the teachers.”
“I am immensely proud of the resilience, adaptability and grit displayed by all our incredible Drama students,” Director of Drama Rita Morabito said.
“The group performance of Rat Redemption needs a particular mention as a group member became unwell two days prior to the HSC examination.
“As is always the practice in Drama performance work, students are expected to adapt and perform in spite of missing an ensemble member.
“To their credit and with much hard work, character lines were redistributed and absorbed, spacing issues addressed and the show went on!
“These nominations are to be celebrated as an outstanding achievement of excellence in the Performance component of the examination.”
