Dream Big Inspires First Nations Students

Last week, our First Nations High School students participated in a workshop from Dream Big Education, Wellbeing and Consulting with mother and son Kylie Captain and Tyrell Johnson, authors of ‘Create the Life of Your Dreams in Your Teens’ — a motivational guide to unlock potential and achieve success.

Dream Big is a program created to inspire and motivate people. It aims to sit and reflect on people’s goals. Kylie started the presentation by sharing a bit about her story as a local girl who grew up in Redfern and Waterloo, and some of the challenges, adversity and grief that she experienced growing up.

The speakers guided students through the journey of self-discovery and empowerment, doing activities with aspirations on leadership, the importance of kindness and gratitude and working out where and how students can get to where they want to be in the future.

Students discovered how the power of education and mindset can unlock their true potential and pave the way to a fulfilling future, empowering students to dream big and learn essential skills and strategies to achieve success in all areas of life.

Thank you Kylie and Tyrell for inspiring our students to embrace their unique strengths and help them create the life of their dreams.

Thank you to Jade Carr for organising this event.
