Recently, 26 students represented IGS in the final round of the Hello Mandarin Chinese Recitation Competition organised by the Sydney Recitation Arts Group and the Chinese Language Teachers Association of NSW. This competition encourages students to learn Chinese and aims to improve their self-confidence in public speaking.
This year’s winners:
- Claire Shu won First place in the 2024 Hello Mandarin National Recitation Competition Group Champion and Hello Mandarin Image Ambassador Award.
- Sarina Thomas, William Camarsh, Ari Gould, Kai Menghe, Alexandros Kostikoglou, Aurora Brooks and Tristan Bi won the First prize for their age group.
- Vicky Chen, Evie Lee, Sophie Lee, Max Wang, Julia Zhao, and Maya Jean Bacha won the Second prize for their age group.
- Flynn Chen, Eden Hazim, Jack Stamenkovic, James Bailey, Riley Bi, Yeshe Adhikari, Sidney Lin, Moony Bacha, Adrian He, Allen Liang, Christina Dunn, Kayden Li won the Third prize for their age group.
