High Flyer Milla ‘Grateful’

Milla Katis of the IGS Class of 2024 joined the School in Year 10 and took her favourite subjects – English Advanced, English Extension 2, Ancient History and Drama into the HSC with great results.

With her strong ATAR, Milla hopes to study Psychology at the University of Sydney next year, potentially taking part in plays on the side.

Milla’s performance of her Drama monologue at IGS Speech Night in the State Theatre captivated the audience.

“It’s a very physical piece. A failing actress walks through her life losing relations. It starts as a comedy and transforms into a tragic story. She realises what she’s lost to pursue acting.

“I’m very grateful to Ms Morabito for recommending the piece. I learnt so much from the experience.

“I am so grateful for the support I received at IGS, from my parents and my family. It’s one of the main contributors to the ATAR.”

Her advice to other students?

“Choose subjects you are passionate about. I chose subjects I knew I would enjoy. Have a very big balance between working hard and understanding what you want later.”

We wish Milla and the whole IGS Class of 2024 all the very best for the future.
