On Sunday 28 May, the 16th ‘Chinese Bridge’ Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign High School Students NSW was held. Year 10 students Billie Messiter and William Young represented IGS in the competition, which included three parts: a general knowledge test, a personal speech in Chinese and a talent show with Chinese cultural performances. All contestants presented very high quality speeches and performances. Billie and William talked about their Chinese learning experiences in their speeches. In the later portion of the event, Billie did calligraphy and William recited a poem. They came home with Excellence Awards!
Congratulations to Billie and William on their outstanding representation of IGS at the competition.
