“Both glory and heartbreak were on show” said PDHPE Teacher Hannah Snooks.
“Six IGS teams vied for a spot in the State Championships, which are taking place later this year.
“After a full day of intense Futsal action, the senior girls nailed their spot in the grand finals after a penalty shootout and walked away with a gold medal after a 1-0 win.
“The junior girls played a sterling game in the grand final and despite giving everything they took the silver medal. Both girl’s teams are now through to the State Championships on 12 September. The day proved to be a successful one for all those involved and we witnessed some spectacular goals, sportsmanship and saves!
“Although some teams didn’t get to the quarter-finals, regardless of this they all played with grit and determination and the IGS staff attending the day were very proud of them.”
Congratulations to all our players.
