The first Primary School assembly of the year was a momentous occasion as Student Leaders for 2025 were awarded their new positions. Head of Primary School Colin Bird, along with Head Boy and Head Girl had the honour of presenting the leaders with their new position.
Parents and carers gathered to celebrate their children’s achievements, creating a supportive and joyful atmosphere. As always, the assembly featured some great singing, adding to the sense of occasion.
The leadership selection process involved students self-nominating and preparing 30-second speeches, with students from Years 4 to 6 casting their votes. The speeches showcased both entertainment and a strong sense of responsibility and community. At IGS, leadership is not limited to titleholders—every Year 6 student is seen as a leader within the Primary School.
