We congratulate teachers Farah Jivani (Primary) and Riya Parmar (High School) who received their Proficient Teacher Accreditation this Term. In NSW, teachers undergo a rigorous process of accreditation to ensure they meet high standards of professional practice. Proficient Teacher Accreditation recognises a teacher’s competence and effectiveness in the classroom.
For early career teachers there is a three to five year period in which to achieve this level of accreditation. This accreditation aligns with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST), a set of nationally agreed-upon standards that define what constitutes quality teaching. A warm thank you to Accreditation supervisors Michelle Weir and Irina Braun for their guidance during the accreditation process.
Well done, Ms Jivani and Ms Parmar!
