Musical Mischief with the Yia Yias

With the School musical just around the corner, excitement is building – and it’s not just the students taking centre stage. This year, our beloved community of Γειά σας Yiayia’s, Greek for grandmothers – are stepping into the spotlight for a much-anticipated cameo, adding warmth, humour and a touch of mischief to the show.

Under the direction of Mr Peter Adam, these exuberant actors in the making, Jennifer Arapakis and Di Anthony, Patrice Marchbank, Rita Morabito and Michelle Weir, each Yiayia’s will be bringing their own unique flair to the performance.

Gathering for their recent rehearsal, the Yiayia’s giggled their way through lines and movements, bringing fresh, cheeky ideas to their characters and injecting the scene with their signature charm. From spontaneous improvisations to unexpected dance moves, their presence promises to be a show-stealer.

Featuring students, staff and members of our wider School community, the production is shaping up to be a celebration of creativity and collaboration across generations. If the rehearsals are anything to go by, audiences are in for a treat.
