Yesterday two of our Year 3 students, Rydah and Alkirah, represented IGS at the opening of the AISNSW Nurturing Excellence in Education Conference held at UTS.
In front of a packed auditorium of educators and leaders, including The Hon. Prue Car MP, NSW Deputy Premier, Minister for Education and Early Learning, Minister for Western Sydney, Margery Evans Chief Executive of the Association of Independent Schools of NSW, Rydah and Alkirah opened the conference with confidence.
Both students were warmly praised for their poise and presence, speaking as one to welcome all attendees. It was a moment that united the room and set the tone for a day of inspiration and learning.
Thank you Megan Sampson Head of Indigenous Education and Mary Duma Deputy Principal Wellbeing for their support in empowering these young voices.
