In a heartening display of intergenerational solidarity IGS hosted a memorable gathering, welcoming guests from Opal Annandale Care Community.
The event, orchestrated by The Seniors and Teens Empathy Program and run by Heart & Soul Story saw students and elderly locals come together for an afternoon of shared experiences and heartfelt connections.
Amidst the excitement of the day, the residents—Emma, Louise, Katina, and Rosemary—arrived via bus. Louise, a steadfast participant in the program since its inception, exchanged joyful glances with her young counterparts.
Thanks to the dedicated Annandale staff Niele and Sonia for their help organising the bus trip and for Samantha Heron’s on going commitment to this program.
