“Whether your children are book worms or reluctant readers, all the students were excited, engaged and immersed in reading during the past week’s festivities,” said Head of Languages Junior School Vilma Rotellini.
“In language classes and in the Bibliothèque, the students celebrated reading in the target language. Reading for enjoyment is important, some will perfect the skill of reading, learning and responding to new vocabulary and identifying learnt grammar features. Others will use images to predict meaning of words and phrases, while some will simply enjoy the opportunity to engage with books and be exposed to print in a different language.”
