Swimming Carnivals

The Primary and High School swimming carnivals were held at Ryde Aquatic and Leisure Centre were a triumph of athleticism and community spirit.

Stand out Performances.

Among the standout performers was Toby, a year 12 student, who clinched seven first-place titles, including victory in the house relay event. Toby’s journey in swimming began at just six months old, but it was joining swimming squads at eight that intensified his dedication.

For Toby, swimming is more than just physical exercise;  “it’s a great way for me to clear my mind and focus solely on perfecting my stroke.”

Primary School sisters Sienna and Filippa have made waves in the school’s swimming records, breaking records in the 12 and 10-year-old categories, respectively.

Sienna broke the 100m freestyle record with a time of 1:07.38, and the 50m butterfly with a time of 34.13 seconds. Fillippa broke the 50m freestyle and butterfly records with times of 36.17, and 41.67.

As they chart their course towards future successes, these record-breaking performances mark only the beginning of what promises to be a remarkable journey for Sienna and Filippa.

We look forward to announce the age group champions at the assembly next week!

Mr Baghdadi, Head of PDHPE and Ms Whitaker, Head of Primary PDHPE, extend their gratitude to all students, staff, and leaders whose commitment ensured the smooth running of these events.
