The Primary sports assembly held this week celebrated the incredible athletic achievements of students throughout Term 3. With both the Cross Country and Athletics Carnivals completed, it was a term filled with outstanding performances and progressions to higher levels of competition at ASISSA and CIS.
One highlight of the season came at the carnival held on Friday 2 August at ES Marks, where Harper set a new record in the Girls 11 Javelin Turbo with an impressive throw of 15.70m. Age Champions were also recognised for their excellent performances:
- 8 Year olds: Andia and Charles F
- 9 Year olds: Nikki and William A-H
- 10 Year olds: Filippa and Lucas G
- 11 Year olds: Sophia P and Samuel
- 12 Year olds: Sienna V and Sebaya
At the carnival on Friday 6 September, students excelled in both individual and team events. Congratulations to the Senior Boys’ and Senior Girls’ relay teams:
- Senior Boys: Wolfgang, Dexter, Sebaya, and Ben
- Senior Girls: Isabel, Sophia, Georgia, and Nyssa
Other outstanding performances included:
- Ben in Long Jump
- Sienna in the 1500m and 800m
- Javier Hudson in the 1500m
- Isabel in the 100m
- Harper in Shot Put and Discus
- Sophia in High Jump and 200m
- Olivia in the 100m
Finally, congratulations to Kuyal House, who emerged as the overall winners with 856 points, followed by Gura with 676, Bamal with 599, and Baado with 455.
