“Led by the fabulous Ms McLachlan (alias Freddie Mercury) and her amazing crew of House leaders the Kookaburras and surrounding wildlife were dazzled by blistering track performances, heroic field achievements and an epic Tug of War challenge between Year 12 houses,” said Head of PDHPE, Sport and Outdoor Education Simon Board.
“Many thanks to Ms McLachlan for organising such a fabulous carnival, our inspirational House Leaders, IGS staff (including Pat for her awesome lunches) and Athletics NSW officials who helped make this event run so smoothly. As we left the ground watching Ms Sampson lead the students in passionate singing and dancing summed up the day reminding us of how much we all value opportunity to celebrate the melding of physical activity and community!.”
