Newly created leadership roles
The roles of Head of Children’s Programs and Coordinator of Primary Co-curricular Programs have been newly created to enhance children’s programs at IGS, encompassing Early Learning, Out of School Hours Care, After School Care, Vacation Care, and the Primary Co-curricular Program.
Sarah Herbert has been named the inaugural Head of Children’s Programs due to her extensive teaching experience, her ability to craft a compelling vision for early childhood education and care, and her deep knowledge of Early Childhood Frameworks and relevant regulations. Her successful tenure at the Early Learning Centre, where she achieved the highest ‘Exceeding’ rating in every area of the National Quality Standard, makes her the ideal fit for this new role at IGS.
David Engelbert has been appointed as the Coordinator of Primary Co-curricular Programs, having effectively led the School’s Out of School Hours Care program. Mr Engelbert brings proven leadership skills and a strong commitment to providing meaningful co-curricular opportunities for students to the role. His innovative vision for the co-curricular program aligns seamlessly with an evolving educational landscape.
Ms Shauna Colnan congratulated Ms Herbert and Mr Engelbert on their well-deserved appointments to these vital positions, emphasising their significant role in the ongoing education and development of the school’s students.
