Acclaimed ensemble Topology, who move effortlessly between pop, jazz, chamber music and progressive rock, worked with students from Years 1 to 6 to demystify the music creation process.
By teaching students to listen, generate ideas, and explore the way melodies are shaped, Topology guided students and teachers through the art of composition. Students explored associated repertoire in their Music lessons in the lead up to their workshop, which met NESA Syllabus outcomes.
The members of Topology demonstrated how every student has the imagination and capacity to create their own music. The fusion of diverse musical genres and the collaborative effort of students resulted in a truly memorable learning experience.
