Acting Head of Primary School Languages Machiko Ohta reports that our Year 1 Japanese students have been learning about health choices, recreation (sports) and leisure (hobbies/family). During the term, students explored what they can do to stay healthy and talked about their favourite sports. Last week, students learned about Japanese traditional toys such as kendama, darumaotoshi, koma and hanetsuki and enjoyed playing with them and discussing their favourite toys.
