“Walking amongst the displays of images took us back to the beauty and intrigue of the Tasmanian wilderness throughout Three Capes, East Coast Rambles and Freycinet groups, the artistic creations from the Arts group farm stay at Rathmore, the UNZOO adventures exploring the precarious plight of the Tassie Devil through to the dramatic interpretations of our wonderful drama group who used the magnificent pine forest as a backdrop for their latest inspirations,” said Head of PDHPE, Sport and Outdoor Education Simon Board.
“Student leaders from each stream recalled a myriad of reflections which made us laugh and smile in admiration for a year group that has clearly grown closer for the experience.
“We thank our Principal Ms Colnan for her leadership and care in ensuring that Year 11 was granted the opportunity to experience this once in a lifetime expedition to Tasmania in 2022, having missed out when they were in Year 10 because of the pandemic.
“Tasmania – Writing the Island not only offers a wonderful physical exploration of the Island but more importantly, it connects staff and students through a once-in-a-lifetime experience they will treasure for the rest of their lives.”
